本作品是由有點麻煩的男人“卷”起來的“麻煩系”人性電視劇。主演阿部飾演的是市政府的“送別員”牧本壯，是個有點麻煩的男人。不會察言觀色，不會聽人說話，不會向任何人敞開心扉。這樣的牧本在按照自己的規(guī)則送別孤獨死去的人的過程中，遇到了各種各樣的人，雖然有點讓人厭煩，但也給他們的心帶來了變化。在與這些人的交往中，牧本自己平淡無味的人生也被點綴了起來。牧本的“麻煩”不知不覺中作為“無垢的心情”，給周圍和自己帶來影響。
