為了尋找創(chuàng)作靈感，懸疑小說(shuō)作家許婷（魏星 飾）搬進(jìn)了網(wǎng)友陳凱（夏望 飾）家中的地下室，據(jù)說(shuō)這間地下室里經(jīng)常有靈異事件發(fā)生。陳凱對(duì)許婷一往情深，但他發(fā)現(xiàn)許婷喜歡的其實(shí)是網(wǎng)絡(luò)上那個(gè)虛擬的人物——馬臉男。陳凱試圖讓許婷回歸現(xiàn)實(shí)，但地下室里卻發(fā)生一連串詭異的事件，顯示“馬臉男”真的存在。終于有一天，陳凱從地下室里挖出了一具早已腐敗的男尸，而這個(gè)死者正是一切怪事的根源。
