故事發(fā)生在上世紀五十年代的巴黎，四名女性在蒙馬特的街道上被人謀殺，案情看似毫無關聯(lián)，但探長麥格雷卻懷疑這四起案件為同一名連環(huán)殺手所為。麥格雷面臨破案的巨大壓力，于是他利用罪犯的虛榮心精心設計了一個抓捕計劃。隨著調(diào)查的深入，麥格雷將嫌疑人名單縮小到三人范圍。最終的結(jié)果令人震驚。
